Browsing and search
Selection pages can be read without creating an account. Search terms, place categories and map bounds are sent to the server to return results. Hosting and security systems may process connection data such as IP addresses, requested URLs and browser type to operate, secure and troubleshoot the website.
Browser storage
Local and session storage support preferences, returning to a search and app functions. Shared collections use a device cookie to recognise collections you manage. The cookie is set for up to 90 days. You can clear site data in your browser; this may affect access to collections created on that device.
Collections and sharing
Items, notes and preferences in a shared collection are stored on the server to display it. View and edit permissions use sharing links and the joining mechanism. Share links with the people you wish to invite. A collection owner can manage sharing from the collection.
Calculators
Selection-page calculations run in your browser using the values you enter. The WhatsApp button does not attach those values to its message. Saving or printing through your browser is your choice.
WhatsApp enquiries
The button opens WhatsApp with a draft containing the page title and link. When available, the entry page and referring website’s hostname are included. This context is held in session storage with a 30-minute attribution window. You can edit the message and choose whether to send it. The conversation is also subject to WhatsApp’s privacy policy.
Maps and external services
The map uses OpenFreeMap tiles and OpenStreetMap data. Loading a map connects to the tile provider, which may receive connection information and map-area requests. WhatsApp and external links operate under the relevant provider’s terms and privacy policy.

Information you provide in an enquiry is used to respond and deliver the requested service. Collection data supports the collections and sharing you choose.
